China will implement export licence management for pure-electric passenger vehicles from January 1, 2026, with the application process moving online.
To standardize new-energy vehicle exports and support healthy trade development, the relevant authorities announced export licence management for pure-electric passenger vehicles beginning January 1, 2026.
The 2026 application process is handled online. Enterprises can complete forms, upload supporting documents and review application progress through the official export licence application system.
The policy places greater emphasis on authentic application materials and compliance. Export configuration, documentation and market requirements therefore need to be confirmed before a quotation becomes an order.
